Howard Dean – ‘The Scream’, 2004

Howard who? Dean what? Who is this man? Well, you’re questions are very apt. Mr Dean failed to get past the early Primary stage on the 2004 Democrat race and has never really made a name for himself since, apart from the so-called ‘Scream’, as shown above. At a rally in Iowa, Howard Dean created one of the best moments of the 2004 campaign. Whilst getting very (very, very, very) over excited about the states he felt he could win in the Primaries (note: he won none of these states) Dean inadvertently created ‘The Scream’ as his excitement reached fever point at the end of his speech.

This was both the highlight and lowlight of Dean’s campaign as he failed to win the Democrat nomination but he provided the world with 90 seconds of political passion and American enthusiasm. Dean went on to lose his Governorship in Vermont in the 2005 gubernatorial election and is now retired from mainstream politics. Ultimately, Dean will probably be happy with his long-lasting career highlight like no other as he screams his way through life.
