NOS Alive

Location: Passeio Marítimo de Algés (Lisbon, Portugal)

Dates: July 7-9

Price for 3 day ticket: 119 Euros (Approximately 93 GBP)

Here’s one for all the indie, pop and rock enthusiasts. NOS Alive is an annual, 3-day open-air music and arts festival which takes places in Passeio Marítimo de Algés, less than 10 minutes away from Lisbon’s lively city center. Formerly called Optimus Alive!, the festival has only been around since 2007 but has been topping European festival lists for a handful of years.

Previous headliners include Foo Fighters, Radiohead, The Cure, Kings of Leon, Two Door Cinema Club and many more. This year you can look forward to another appearance from Radiohead and Two Door Cinema Club, along with performances from Tame Impala, Arcade Fire and Grimes.

NOS Alive is a great for anyone looking to combine a festival adventure with a sunny city trip. As the festival grounds are in close proximity to both the city center and Lisbon’s splendid beaches, NOS Alive is truly a summer experience. Check out the 18th century architecture in Baixa and take in the stunning views at Lisbon’s famous Tower of Belem. It’s time to ditch the wellies and dig up your swim suit. If a festival sans mud and rain doesn’t sound like your kinda thing, NOS Alive is not for you.
