Album: Coloring Book

Artist: Chance The Rapper

Release: 13 May

After causing the world to sit up and take notice in 2013 with Acid Rap, Chance the Rapper dropped one of 2016’s most anticipated releases in the form of his eclectic Colouring Book. Amazingly, despite not being signed to an actual record label, the self-released mixtape was recently nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards. The vibrant array of upbeat hip-hop, liberally sprinkled with gospel verve, was received to rapturous acclaim by the industry, with Angels, Blessings and Summer Friends particular highlights of this hugely refreshing and exciting glimpse of the future of the genre.
