The new cast for the multi award winning production of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London has been announced.
BAFTA Award Winner Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education; Downstate, National Theatre) will be joining the cast as Sally Bowles, whilst Olivier Award nominee John McCrea (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie; Daddy) will be playing The Emcee. Nathan Ives-Moiba (As You Like It; Our Country’s Good) will be playing Cliff Bradshaw, and at certain performances, current swing Emily Benjamin will be playing the role of Sally Bowles. All will begin performances on 13 February 2023, and will play until 27 May 2023.
Callum Scott Howells’ final performance as The Emcee and Madeline Brewer’s as Sally Bowles will be 28 January 2023. Between 30 January 2023 and 11 February 2023, the roles will be played by Matthew Gent and Emily Benjamin. Sally Frith will play the role of Sally Bowles at certain performances during this time. Sid Sagar’s final performance as Cliff Bradshaw will be 11 February 2023.
Cabaret is directed by Rebecca Frecknall, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt and choreography by Julia Chung. The lighting design is by Isabella Byrd and sound design is by Nick Lidster, with musical supervision by Jennifer Whyte and musical direction by Ben Ferguson. It has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Joe Masteroff.
