Boy Better Know – Reading and Leeds Festivals

When Boy Better Know were announced to play Reading and Leeds Festival in 2013 Skepta tweeted “WOOOW!! The Reading & Leeds festival goers are NOT happy ‘Skepta’ is on the line-up.. In fact they are f**king livid.”. A lot has changed in two years, Boy Better Know have firmly placed themselves at the forefront of British music scene and I doubt they’ll be any complaints from the attendees this year.

Headlining the dance stage – apt in a way because of the grime scene’s links with garage – you can expect a lot from the London collective. The last 18 months have been profound for BBK with the revolution of Skepta and Wiley to their former and less chart friendly ways, as well as the release of JME’s latest album. Their show at Camden’s Koko with Kanye West, Big Sean and Skepta shutdown party in a Shoredtich car park illustrates the group are no strangers to putting on a memorable show. The graph could hit a new peak at Reading and Leeds – expect plenty of surprise guests from Giggs to Stormzy (maybe even Slaves?) and reload after reload. Miss Boy Better Know and you’ll be missing the talking point of the weekend.
