5. Stupid!

Another stellar comedy sketch show. Very niche vibes, but it was always a good time. I had to watch it in secret though, because my mum tried to ban the word “stupid” in our house. 

Marcus Brigstocke also appeared in Stupid! as the highly revered King Stupid before his Sorry, I’ve Got No Head days — before Phil Cornwell took over in later episodes. King Stupid was basically an immortal with the power to make any human act stupidly with his fancy array of futuristic computers.

The ‘Devil Finger/Bendy Wendy’ sketch will go down in history — as will Goober, King Stupid’s belligerent, purple gremlin servant. Miranda’s dinner lady sketch was also no doubt the main reason she ended up with her own BBC sitcom.
