2. Raven
When I discovered someone I knew was a cast member on Raven, I was starstruck. By cast member, I mean one of those ominous-looking demon figures that engulfed you into their cloak if you failed to get all the gold rings to complete the “Way of The Warrior”.
A kind of Medieval version of Total Wipeout, Raven was emotional, exciting, heart-in-your-mouth high stakes — everything you want from an adventure show. Bear Grylls could never. It’s no wonder the show won two BAFTAs.
It was also nominated for a BAFTA Scotland award in 2018 when the show returned with new host Aisha Toussaint. OG Raven — Jamie Mackenzie — is still an actor and voiceover artist. I don’t know about you, but I’d definitely watch (and apply for) an adult-version of Raven.
