Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Transmog Update Leaves Fans Upset

The latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been receiving some backlash from fans over the Transmog feature.

The Transmog system, which allows players to change the appearance of their gear without changing the stats has come under fire for costing players in-game currency. At 50 silver (in-game currency) per item, fans are unhappy with the new transactional feature.

The system in question is not a new feature and had been used in previous Assassin’s Creed games and other Ubisoft titles with no in-game transactional fee.

Fans took to Reddit to express their disappointment. One user stated, “How on earth have they managed to balls up the implementation of transmog” Many have also stated that although the price of 50 silver is not steep, the amount does add up. Silver can be accumulated by doing raids and looting. Another Reddit user stated“50 silver is not small on this game, making money is such a struggle after you raid and loot everything” Rick_The_Mullet_Man said.

Alternatively, Ubisoft does have a store that allows players to buy silver, leaving many players to question the change in the Transmog feature.

Ubisoft has not made any official comment on the backlash; however, the Community Manager has said they will pass on the concerns to the developers.

Along with the transmog, the update included the Ostera Festival event along with The Godly Reward pack as a community appreciation gift available free for all players. The gift includes Altaïr’s Outfit from the first Assassin’s Creed game, Yule Festival rewards & 300 Opals, however, players are having issues redeeming the gift.
