Buxton Festival Fringe 2021 will open for entries this year with an improved and easier entry procedure.

The annual festival, which began in 1980, is one of the largest open-access arts festivals in the country and, like other events this year such as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, had to move events online this year.

Fringe Webmaster Dan Osbourne, who created the online system, said “we know that people are considering entering all sorts of different types of events from live physical shows to online ones or even a combination of the two. The Fringe website’s revised entry form makes it simple to create the event that you want.”

Recognising the fact that entrants need to wait longer than usual before deciding what they can take to the Fringe, a flat entry fee of just £50 has been introduced and will run until the deadline.

Fringe chair Stephen Walker said “this year we are prepared for every eventuality and are ready to welcome events in whatever form creative people come up with.”

Entries for The Buxton Festival Fringe 2021 are open the 1st of December until the 18th of April 2021. The festival will run from the 7th of July until the 25th.
