With the new series of Doctor Who arriving on TV screens next month, the tie in video game Doctor Who Legacy has been given a major update by Tiny Rebel Games.

This new update will feature two premium packs for players to purchase. The first is the 30 level “Sonic Adventures”, a unique story based around the First Doctor and will feature new versions of some well known characters from the series, including other incarnations of the Doctor along with companions such as Jo Grant, Jack Harkness and River Song. Second of the packs is Doctor Who Legacy: Kids, a simplified version of the game designed for younger players. This new mode will feature a new visual and gameplay experience, with it’s own unique graphics layout and player options. With the Kids pack, Tiny Rebel have also teased that certain unlockable features, such as character costumes, will carry over into the primary game.

Along with the premium packs, the new update also includes a new enemy ability, “Cracks In Time” which allows enemies to rearrange the game board with immovable pieces, “Bomb” pieces that will detonate depending on certain gem amounts and a new series of levels on the game’s Expert Mode. It was also confirmed that there would be weekly updates with new characters and levels added each week to the game to tie in with the episodes on screen.

Doctor Who Legacy is available to play for free through the Apple Store, Google Play and Facebook. The “Sonic Adventures” pack is priced at £7.99 and Doctor Who Legacy: Kids is priced at £3.99. Levels and characters from Season Nine will be available weekly starting September 19.
