Hailee Steinfeld has recently been catapulted into the public eye and a whole new level of fame. You may know her from the film Begin Again, where she played Mark Ruffalo’s daughter or more likely from her appearance in the acapella craze that is the film Pitch Perfect 2, as newcomer Emily Junk. You’ll probably also recognise her from her appearance in Taylor Swift’s massive music video for ‘Bad Blood’. However, from this moment on you’ll know her as a stand-alone popstar thanks to her debut single ‘Love Myself’.

What a debut this is, it’s a strong pop anthem produced by Mattman & Robin, (Taylor Swift, Tove Lo, Adam Lambert) which focuses on self love and confidence, being able to shout the hook, “I’m gonna put my body first / and love me so hard till it hurts”, leaves any listener feeling empowered and happy with themselves.

It’s pop bliss and Hailee has such a unique voice, a blend of Tove Lo and Ariana Grande. If this is what she has to offer on the debut, then this an artist to look out for. The song is out now in the UK so be sure to check it out above and buy it if you like it.
