Three years ago, electronic pop-princes Disclosure and friend Sam Smith teamed up to produce the hit single that was ‘Latch’. At the time, Sam Smith was a relatively unknown artist in the music industry, but the popularity of the track soon propelled him into the limelight. Now the dream pairing have reconnected and released a new song called ‘Omen’. The track shows a glimpse of what we can expect from Disclosure’s upcoming album Caracal, which is set to drop in September.

The release of the song is accompanied by a video that is the second instalment of a four-part sci-fi series, which the artists have created in the run up to the album release. The videos have all been directed by Ryan Hope and, collectively, they create a short film that tells the story of a character called Mariela.

Disclosure’s synths and sharp sounds that flow consistently throughout the track are elevated by the angelic voice of Sam Smith, creating – what is soon to be – another hit for the electronic duo. It seems that the Disclosure/Smith team can’t put a foot wrong, they go hand-in-hand and make the combination seem effortless.
