Synopsis: It’s actually quite hard to pin point what this movie is about, however we follow briefly the lives of numerous interesting characters and we sit tight in childish giddiness as their lives intertwine through a series of hilarious, outrageous and uncommon events. Not only is Pulp Fiction one of the most influential and pivotal films of the 90’s but probably the most quotable film. If not for the underwhelming motel scenes between Butch (ageing boxer) and his wife, Quentin Tarantino is only a ‘royale with cheese’ short of a perfectly written and directed film. Nevertheless I can totally understand if you’re not a fan or the rated R sex, drugs and violence. With a soundtrack to die for and a screenplay so badass you could recite it in your sleep, Pulp Fiction is not only a marvel of film making, it’s a giant leap for film as an art form.
Watch if you liked: Any Quentin Tarantino film, Fight Club, ‘The Good, The Bad & The Ugly’.
