Title: On The Road
Author: Jack Kerouac
What I think so far: While I’m, quite frankly, obsessed with American Literature, I’m unsure as to why it has taken me so long to read one of the classics. The story follows the narrator, Sal Paradise, on his exuberant journey across America. This book takes the reader on a journey, following the highs and lows of the characters. Its combination of a mixture of sex and drugs, and its setting at the peak of the Beat generation, you’ll wish you were along with them for the ride.
Would I recommend? Definitely. If you love America, adventures, and if you like to live vicariously through literature, this book seems worth it. It’s a classic that will have you hooked on every word.
