Track Review: No Love For a Nation // Petrol Girls

Petrol Girls‘ take on hardcore is captivating. It’s political, angry but also empowering. Their live show brings this energy out. After seeing them at Boomtown, I came away inspired by Ren Aldridge’s commanding stage presence.

There is also a hell of a lot of melody in their songs, including on their recent album, Cut and Stitch.

‘No Love for a Nation’ is one of the bands most melodic songs, and boasts a catchy hook that stays with the listener. It’s got plenty of bounce and groove which fit very well because it’s easy to sing along to.

Its fierce attitude and gang vocals suit a live environment, encapsulating their exciting sound.
