Destiny 2: Forsaken

Revenge for the fallen is the driving force behind this new chapter in the Destiny universe. After a jailbreak in the Prison of Elders, the player must accompany Cayde-6 to the Prison in order to restore the rule of law. Faced with the combined power of Uldren Sov and the Barons, Cayde will pay the ultimate price in the name of justice. Following this tragic event, Destiny 2: Forsaken will see players travel to the Reef and taking the law into their own hands, discovering new regions of space and uncovering the secrets of the Awoken.

As well as being available as a stand-alone release, players will also be able to experience the entire Destiny 2 story so far with the Legendary Collection – which includes Destiny 2 and the two previous expansions Curse of Osiris and Warmind. Players who pre-order Forsaken will receive the Cayde’s Exotic Stash pack, featuring themed emotes, a Queen of Hearts ship, new Armour Shaders for Cayde and an Ace of Spades Last Hand ornament.

Destiny 2: Forsaken will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from September 4*


Marvel’s Spider-Man

Everyone’s favourite friendly neighbourhood web-slinger is set for action is this new adventure. Peter Parker has spent the last eight years protecting the city of New York from criminals and supervillains, but he is soon faced with a new challenge. After thwarting the schemes of the Kingpin, Spider-Man soon finds himself under attack from a new organisation known as the Inner Demons. Led by Mister Negative, this group uses a combination of high-end technology and superpowers to achieve their goals. With a host of iconic Spider-Man characters – both friends and foes – players will be able to get right to the action in this PlayStation exclusive.

Players who pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man will receive a special bonus pack of items and artwork. Players will be able to have their own Spider-Man avatar for PSN and be able to add exclusive artwork from comic artist Adi Granov to home screens. In addition, the bonus will also include an in-game Stylish Suit Pack – featuring enhanced suits for the web-slinger – 5 Skill Points to level up faster and the Spider-Drone gadget. PlayStation will also be releasing special edition 500GB and 1TB Spider-Man consoles and an exclusive Amazing Red Dualshock wireless controller.

Marvel’s Spider-Man will be available on PlayStation 4 from September 7*


NBA 2K19

Return to the court for this special 20th instalment of the iconic basketball series. NBA 2K19 will offer players their most immersive experience yet. With updates to players, game tactics and courts, this milestone release will have something for every NBA fan to enjoy. To mark the game’s release on Switch, NBA 2K has partnered with the streaming platform Twitch to broadcast live games and tournaments for all players. Taking the prestigious title of cover athletes for 2K19 is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks on the Standard Edition, and Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers taking the honour for the Australian & New Zealand releases.

Players who pre-order the standard edition of NBA 2K19 will receive 5,000 VC and a MyTeam pack weekly for the first ten weeks of the game. Players will also be able to purchase the 20th Anniversary Edition to mark this special milestone. Players who pre-order the Anniversary Edition will be able to play the game four days early, the MyTeam packs and 100,000 VC. There will also be a host of items celebrating the edition’s cover star, LeBron James, such as custom clothing items for MyPlayer, limited edition MyCourt designs and murals as well as a host of physical items

NBA 2K19 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC from September 11*


Shadow of the Tomb Raider

A Mayan mystery has been unearthed in this latest edition of the adventure saga. Taking place shortly after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft finds herself on a more personal hunt as she finds herself heading for Latin America. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider Lara faces a race against time to save the world as her hunt for a relic – with a connection to her late father – has disastrous consequences for Lara and the Trinity organisation.

The Steelbook Edition will feature a copy of the game in a limited edition case along with three art cards and a currency pack included for those who pre-order at select retailers. The Croft Edition will feature the game, art cards, currency pack, additional weapons & outfits along with a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack. The Croft Edition also includes the game’s Season Pass, featuring new side missions, weapons, outfits, skills and challenge tombs. Players who pre-order the Croft Edition will also be able to play up to two days early.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from September 14*


FIFA 19

This footballing icon gets a new batch of silverware for this year’s release. First announced at E3, FIFA 19 will feature content from UEFA for the first time – including the pinnacle of club football; the Champions League. The League will be joined in the game by it’s accompanying tournaments – the Europa League and UEFA Super Cup – with full in game support for promotion and relegation. Players will also be able to play the final chapter of The Journey as story protagonist Alex Hunter returns for one last time.

Players who order any edition of FIFA 18 through select retailers will be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets for each home game of their chosen team for the duration of the 2018/19 season (terms and conditions apply). The Legacy Edition on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will feature all the updated information with gameplay parity with FIFA 18. The Champions Edition – available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch – will feature Early Access, 20 Ultimate Team Premium Jumbo packs, a Champions League Gold Player, special edition Ultimate Team kits and both Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr. loan items for seven Ultimate Team matches.

FIFA 19 will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch from September 25*


Life is Strange 2

A mystery unravels in this episodic adventure. In Life is Strange 2, players will take on the role of Sean Diaz. Travelling through America with his nine-year-old brother, Daniel, Liam must try to live with the aftermath of a supernatural incident. After the death of a police officer during the event, the Diaz brothers must find their way to Mexico, while Liam must shield his younger brother from the truth of what happened in Seattle.

As with the previous season, Life is Strange 2 will be released across five episodes and the decisions made through the series will have lasting effects on the outcome of the player’s story. Players who played through The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit will see their decisions taken during that story also have an effect on this one.

Life is Strange 2 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from September 27*


Free to Play

On Xbox Games with Gold this month, Prison Architect: Xbox One Edition will be available from September 1-30*, with Livelock downloadable for free between September 16 and October 15*. Over on Xbox 360, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will be available from September 1-15*, followed by Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World from September 16-30*

On PlayStation, PS Plus Member will have a host of games available to download and play for free this month. Starting from September 4, God of War III: Remastered (PS4), Here They Lie (PSVR), Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition (PS3/PS4/PS Vita), QUBE Director’s Cut (PS3/PS4), Foul Play (PS4/PS Vita) and Sparkle 2 (PS Vita) will be available on their respective devices, with Knowledge is Power available via PlayLink. As an added bonus, Destiny 2 is available on PS4 to Plus members now.

Finally, PC users with Twitch Prime will have five free titles to download on play this month. The Adventure Pals, Guild of Dungeoneering, Gunpoint, The Original Strife and Pumped BMX+ will all be available via the Twitch app now. To access these games, users must first link their active Amazon Prime accounts to their Twitch accounts.
