2000 Trees Festival 2018 is now just a few days away and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s fair to say that the festival is one for real fans of alternative music and the line-up is packed with some of the best names and upcoming bands in the scene.

There are still a handful of tickets left for the Cheltenham based festival so for those of you wondering why you should head for the trees and for those of you who need a little reminder, here is everything to look forward to at 2000 Trees 2018.

1. Early Bird Gets The Music

Not many weekends start on a Thursday but 2000 Trees is a special place and the 2-day festival always tries its best to get festivities off to an early start. This year, the Thursday line-up is all killer and no filler with Black Peaks, Turnstile, Boston Manor, Turbowolf, Black Foxxes, Marmozets and Arcane Roots all kicking off the fun. And then post-hardcore legends At The Drive-In are topping the bill with a UK exclusive performance at Upcote Farm.

2. Huge Headliners

2000 Trees always promises a good favourite of bands from the hardcore, pop punk, rock, metal and alternative scene and the headliners are coloured with that same variety this year. Following on from At The Drive-In are pop favourites Twin Atlantic and electronicore masters Enter Shikari who each guarantee to be very special in their own unique way.

3. In The Trees

The most welcome but unfamiliar long exposure to unbridled sunshine does have its appeal but, thankfully, the party keeps going in the shade of the forest at 2000 Trees too. At the Forest Stage headliners, Enter Shikari will be playing an extra special stripped down set while festival favourite Jamie Lenman will be making a one-off appearance to keep his love affair with Trees going. The line-up for the more intimate performances will include appearances from Arcane Roots, The Xcerts, Fatherson, Press to Meco and My Vitriol.

4. Best of British

2000 Trees is no doubt one of the best British festivals and, in kind, the festival likes to bring the best British bands to its festival too. Scattered all around the line-up is proof that the UK is flourishing with a talented rock scene with Main Stage acts like Marmozets, Mallory Knox, Basement, The Xcerts, Fatherson and Arcane Roots leading the line. Add in bands like Creeper, Gender Roles, Woes and the returning Hell Is For Heroes and you’ve got yourself a party.

5. Camp Frabit

After the loss of Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit (who were due to play this year) earlier in the year, 2000 Trees have come up with a fitting tribute to the singer. On Friday in the forest there will be special guest performances celebrating Scott’s legacy while at the festival Busk Boxes, which are located in the main campsite, will have its very own Camp Frabit for anyone and everyone to get up and sing a song in tribute to the singer.
