The first look trailer also announced the game’s release date.
Ubisoft has released the first trailer for Far Cry 5. Following on from the release of the game’s artwork and setting details, fans got a look at the latest chapter in the Far Cry series.
Set in Hope County, Montana, the game will see players take on the role of a new Junior Deputy as they try to reclaim the towns from the hold of the Project of Eden’s Gate. At the centre of this deeply religious group is their charismatic Father Joseph Seed, who is assisted in his endeavours by his three siblings Jacob, John, and Faith – who each have a pivotal role to play in the cult’s advancement.
The trailer comes after Ubisoft unveiled the game’s cover and concept art earlier in the week, along with details of the single player story, which can also be played in a co-op mode. The conclusion of the trailer also revealed the game’s release date – February 27, 2018.
Far Cry 5 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from February 27, 2018. Watch the reveal trailer below.
