The latest in the Marvel vs Capcom series will be released in September.
Capcom has confirmed the release dates for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. The dates were announced alongside a new trailer for the game – which gives players a first look at the story.
In the story, the characters face a new foe in the form of Ultron Sigma – a hybrid formed from the two villains – who have taken possession of the Infinity Stones. With Asgard as the backdrop for the battles, players will be able to use any combination of characters to combat the mechanoid army unleashed upon the universe.
In addition to the trailer, a post on Capcom Unity announced eight new roster additions – Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Rocket Raccoon from Marvel alongside Street Fighter‘s Chun-Li, Resident Evil‘s Chris Redfield and Strider‘s titular hero Strider Hiryu – along with details of two special edition release bundles and pre-order bonuses.
All players who pre-order will receive new costume options for Thor and Ryu. The Deluxe Edition will feature two additional costumes for Hulk and Mega Man along with the Character Pass, which will unlock six new characters post-launch. The Collector’s Edition will feature the Deluxe Edition of the game, four interlocking statues of Mega Man, Chun-Li, Captain Marvel and Iron Man and a case with all six Infinity Stones.
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from September 19. Watch the story trailer below.
