Single Review: Echoes // Flyte

Over the past few years, Flyte have been slowly (but surely) carving a name for themselves in the industry thanks to a string of heavenly releases (‘Over and Out’, ‘Light Me Up’, ‘Please Eloise’).

With the exception of a few festivals last year, the London-based group have been keeping a pretty low profile, working on new material for their debut album due for release this year.

2017 is kicking off nicely for the 4-piece. They’ve teamed up with Courtney Barrett and producer Burke Reid, releasing new track ‘Echoes’.

The track itself features a blissful synth-heavy melody with thoughtful lyrics sung by lead vocalist Will Taylor, who – let’s face it – has the capability of making even the phonebook sound dreamlike.

These are backed by stunning harmonies from the rest of the band, making for a truly sonic delight.

The band recently filmed a live version of the new cut at St Leonard’s Church in Shoreditch.

Flyte are be bringing their ‘Chasing Heaven’ club night to London’s Moth Club on 28th April. Tickets can be bought via DICE.

‘Echoes’ is out now via Island Records.
