Well, we’ve finally reached the end of our journey. After looking at Two Door Cinema Club and Yak in part one, and the likes of The 1975 and Chance The Rapper in part two, we’ve reached our conclusion. These are the albums that we feel have left the biggest and best impact on the year.
So now, grab some headphones, relax and enjoy our albums of the year.

Album: Trick
Artist: Jamie T
Release: September 2
Finally back from the deep depths of our iTunes libraries, Jamie T hit back 2 years on from Carry On The Grudge with his most gallant effort to date, Trick. An album collating so many different genres like reggae, punk, and good ol’ indie rock, Trick, plain and simple, blew every other release out of the water in 2016. Almost 10 years on from debut album Panic Prevention, Treays has stepped back from his tales of Wimbledon nights out and taking your brother down to the sea for a twos on a cigarette, and has switched it up for more mature and personal tracks on an album filled with confidence and intelligence. Clocking in at 12 tracks long, Trick is an album that doesn’t bore easily – with each song telling a different story in the trademark Jamie T way, and each song having a totally new style. Jamie T‘s 4th album leaves the troubadour with a new lease of life I can’t wait to see more of.
