The pirate themed action adventure has been delayed to 2017.

Sea of Thieves has been delayed until 2017. The news was confirmed by Aaron Greenberg, Head of Xbox Games Marketing. Speaking to Kinda Funny Games, Greenberg confirmed the game would now be released in 2017.

During the interview, Greenberg talked about the release windows of some other titles and that “not far after” the release of Gears of War 4 in October; “we get into things like Halo Wars 2 in February and then we just keep cranking out as they go through. Sea of Thieves is coming out in that window, Scalebound, a lot more titles. This is the biggest games lineup we’ve ever had over the next year.”

Sea of Thieves is now scheduled to be release in February 2017. Watch a trailer below.
