The next instalment of the Zelda series has it’s full title is confirmed during Nintendo Treehouse Live at E3.
Nintendo have showcased the new Legend of Zelda game at E3. Taking centre stage at Nintendo Treehouse Live, Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aimé announced the full title of the game as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Awakening from a deep sleep, Link finds himself in an unrecognisable Hyrule. After meeting a mysterious old man, Link learns that the Calamity Ganon has laid waste to Hyrule. Now, the great evil force has been sealed in Hyrule Castle, unable to be destroyed. In the time that has passed, the land has been ravaged by nature. Link has to navigate this new world and find away to stop the Ganon before it can break free of the castle and destroy the world.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available on Wii U and Nintendo NX in 2017. Watch a game-play demo below.
