The sequel to the 2014 action adventure title was unveiled on YouTube.
Watch Dogs 2 has been officially unveiled by Ubisoft. In a live Youtube stream, players were given a first look at the upcoming title. The sequel to 2014’s Watch Dogs see players travel to San Francisco for this second chapter, with new character Marcus Holloway taking the lead.
The live stream event featured interviews about how the development team at Ubisoft Montreal worked to create the cityscape, cinematic trailers for the game and Marcus and how the character’s signature weapon came about. There was also a look at “Dedsec” – the hacker community that is one of the foundations of the game.
The game will also feature the ability to hack information from every person and vehicle in the game. Players will also have numerous tools and the option to play the game in a non-lethal way. There will also be numerous ways to complete missions, depending on a player’s own preference. Those on single player will be able to join with other single player mode users through the Dedsec online community connection to form a co-op game.
Also, the release date – November 15, 2016 – was officially confirmed at the end of the event.
Watch Dogs 2 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from November 15 2016. Watch the launch event below.
