Former Rockstar North President and Grand Theft Auto producer Leslie Benzies, along with his studio Build A Rocket Boy, has announced a release date for their new ‘narrative-driven, single-player action-adventure thriller’ MindsEye and released a new story trailer.
MindsEye, which is set for release on June 10 this year, will be published by IO Interactive, the legendary developers behind the Hitman franchise. “Fight to uncover the truth in a world where AI, high-tech experimentation, and unchecked military power shape every encounter”, reads the game’s Steam page, which also advertises a “Horde Mode” and three DLC packs set to be released throughout 2025 and 2026 as part of a premium pre-order pass.
The game takes place in the “super-heated near-future desert metropolis” Redrock City, where large tech companies and government bodies hold extreme power over the lives of its citizens. As former soldier Jacob Diaz, players will uncover secrets about their past and race against shadowy powers in a conspiracy that threatens to change the city forever.
MindsEye was originally announced in 2023 as part of Everywhere, an MMO and game creation platform being developed by Build A Rocket Boy. While the game is still expected to release as part of this platform, it will also be available as a standalone title. The game launches in summer this year, and is available to pre-order now for PC through Steam and Epic Games, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
