It’s been one month since Fields of Mistria was released and the game is already proving to be a big hit with players. In celebration of the game’s one-month release developers NPC studios released a post revealing that players have logged over 4 million hours in the game in the first month alone.

NPC Studios also confirmed that the game has been downloaded over 250,000 times on Steam. The early success of Fields of Mistria shows that the appetite for farming sims is still going strong among gamers, with 98% of the reviews on Steam from the last 30 days being marked as ‘positive’.

So, what is Fields of Mistria? Fields of Mistria is a farming RPG/life sim reminiscent of games like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, or Harvest Moon. The game specifically describes itself as the “spiritual successor to the Farm-Sim RPGs of the late 90s & onward’, mixing a farming life with magic, romance and adventures.

Of course, it’s still early days for the game which hasn’t left early access yet, so we’ll have to see if this early success holds. Time will tell how the completed game will do. But for Fields of Mistria, it’s an excellent start.

Fields of Mistria is available now on PC.
