WB Games has announced that the free-to-play platform fighter from Player First Games, MultiVersus will be released this May.
Available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC (via both Steam and Epic Games) MultiVersus will launch with a new PvE mode, a larger roster, stages based on reimagined universes and environments, online play and full support for cross-play and cross-progression.
The roster of characters will include iconic figures from various Warner Bros. Discovery franchises including Batman, Superman and Harley Quinn from DC Comics, Shaggy & Velma from Scooby Doo, Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones’ Arya Stark, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, the titular Iron Giant and Garnet and Steven Universe from Steven Universe.
MultiVersus had previously been playable during an open beta period in 2023, with the May release bringing the full game to all players and will be free to play at launch. Players looking to get a sneak peek of what they can expect to see from the game at launch can check out the new Developer Update, which was released today to coincide with the launch date announcement.
MultiVersus will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC from May 28.
