The Bear has been renewed for a third season.

The series premiered on Hulu in June 2022 and follows Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they turn a run-down sandwich diner formerly known as ‘The Beef’ into ‘The Bear’, a fine-dining restaurant.

The show also stars Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott and Matty Matheson as an array of characters in the kitchen with head-chef Carmy.

It is produced by FX Productions and was created by Chris Storer. Storer is also executive producer with Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Josh Senior and Matty Matheson, with Tyson Bidner as a producer.

Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment said: “The Bear, which wowed audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in season two, has become a cultural phenomenon.”

“We’re so proud to partner with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable, and we and our partners at Hulu join fans in looking forward to the next chapter in the story of The Bear.”

The comedy-drama series has received critical acclaim, and has won two Television Critics Association Awards for Outstanding New Programme, and Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, as well as a Producers Guild of America Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy. Allen White has won a Critics’ Choice Award and a Golden Globe Award for his performance, and Edebiri has won a Dorian TV Award and an Independent Spirit Award. In 2022, the series also won an American Film Institute Award.

The release date of the new season is yet to be announced. It is set to air on Hulu in the USA, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other countries.
