Violet Days are an alternative pop group from Sweden. Formed in 2010, they have become popular in their home country, with debut single ‘Razorheart’ reaching the top of the Swedish iTunes chart in June 2014. The band released a new single, ‘Screaming Colors’ last month.

The track’s chorus is infectious, the soaring vocals and distorted synthesisers creating a massive sound. However the filter on the guitar seems slightly unnecessary, perhaps less distortion could have been used as it would have given it more clarity.

Despite this, Violet Days have potential, and judging by ‘Screaming Colors’’ big chorus, they are set for bigger things outside of Sweden.
