June’s selection of gaming titles will expand universes, bring football to a new level, have players choose between life and death at a summer camp, take to the streets in a homage to arcade beat ‘em ups and bring a classic series to modern consoles.

Mario Strikers: Battle League Football

Some familiar faces take to the pitch in this action-packed football caper. In Mario Strikers: Battle League Football, players will compete in five-a-side matches using a combination of skill, teamwork, tactics and maybe a few bonus items to help them achieve victory. With 10 playable characters at launch, players will be able to craft their dream teams before heading to the pitch. Among the new additions to the lineups are Toad and Rosalina, who are making their debut as playable characters and Boom Booms, who will be taking on the role of AI goalkeeper in each match.

Players who pre-order via select retailers will receive a limited-edition Mario Strikers Battle League scarf with their copy of the game.

Mario Strikers: Battle League Football will be available on Nintendo Switch from June 10*

The Quarry

One final night is all it will take to live or die in this cinematic horror story. The Quarry takes place at the end of summer camp at Hackett’s Quarry. With the campers heading home, the nine teenage counsellors gather for one final night together at the end of the season. This night soon takes a drastic turn and becomes a fight for survival. Playing as the counsellors, players will have to make a series of decisions through the course of the story which will ultimately determine who lives and who dies. After the first playthrough, players will unlock the Death Rewind feature, allowing them to undo three character deaths during subsequent playthroughs.

Players who pre-order will receive the Horror History Visual Filter Pack which will allow players to customise the visuals of their game with three different cinematic filters – an 8mm film grain Indie Horror style, an 80’s Horror VHS style and a black-and-white Classic Horror filter. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a copy of the game for both new-gen and last-gen consoles (must be in the same console family), the Horror History Visual Filters, a selection of ’80s themed character outfits, the instant unlock of the Death Rewind feature and the Gorefest Movie Mode, which will allow players to sit back and enjoy the story of The Quarry in its most gruesome and grindhouse form.

The Quarry will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC from June 10*

Final Vendetta

Battle through the streets of London in this arcade beat ‘em up homage. When her sister is kidnapped, Claire Sparks becomes unwittingly embroiled in a dangerous underworld, with only her martial arts skills and quick mind to help her. On her journey, she encounters two valuable allies, “Duke” Sancho – a bare-knuckle fighter who earned a reputation and a nickname in a pub brawl – and Miller T. Williams – a Canadian ex-pro wrestler who was barred from the squared circle in controversial circumstances. Together, this unlikely trio will have to work together to find Claire’s sister and the truth behind her kidnapping.

The Collector’s Edition includes a copy of the game, a copy of the original soundtrack featuring Utah Saints and Featurecast, a deck of 32 collectable character cards and a Bin Chicken sticker. The Super Limited Edition includes a copy of the game, all the content in the Collector’s Edition, an A4 artbook featuring pixel art, an A3 poster and a Barrel USB keyring.

Final Vendetta will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo switch from June 17*

Sonic Origins

Experience classic Sonic adventures like never before with this special collection. Featuring remasters of Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD, the Sonic Origins collection will bring players the games they loved on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis to modern hardware. With new features and content alongside remastered visuals and audio, this multi-game collection is a must of Sonic fans. As an added bonus, players will be able to choose their character – Sonic, Tails or Knuckles – as they play through each game to allow for a whole new way to play these classic titles.

Players who pre-order will receive the Start Dash Pack which includes 100 bonus coins, Mirror Mode and a letterbox background to use in-game. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a copy of the game, Start Dash Pack, hard missions, additional character animations in the main menu and on music Islands, main menu Island camera controls, and bonus tracks from MegaDrive/Genesis titles.

Sonic Origins will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC from June 23*

Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course

Take a trip to DLC Island with Cuphead and Mugman in this new Cuphead adventure. In the Delicious Last Course, players will journey to a brand-new Inkwell Isle in order to collect the ingredients and items needed for Chef Saltbaker to create the Wondertart – a special dish for The Legendary Chalice (now called Ms. Chalice) to make her “as real as can be”. Players will have to face off against new bosses in new locations in what might become their toughest challenge yet.

With the introduction of Ms. Chalice as a playable character, once she is unlocked in The Delicious Last Course, she will be playable not only in the DLC but in any future playthroughs of the main Cuphead story as well alongside Cuphead and Mugman.

Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC from June 30*

Outriders Worldslayer

A new threat to Enoch emerges in this new Outriders story. Taking place after the events of the main Outriders campaign, Outriders Worldslayer will see players embark on a new campaign against a rising threat. When the climate on Enoch suddenly starts to shift, it soon transpires that it is the work of Ereshkigal, a so-called “First Altered” who possesses great power and strength in her own right, but also through her faction – the Insurgents. Working either solo or with other players in co-op, players will have to take their own Outriders into uncharted territory to stop Ereshkigal from taking hold of Enoch forever, while also dealing with the potentially cataclysmic changes happening to the world around them.

Players who pre-order via select stores will receive a 10% discount on their order along with two days Early Access. Players who purchase Outriders Worldslayer but who do not already own a copy of Outriders will receive Outriders when they pre-order and the Worldslayer content will unlock on launch day. Worldslayer will also be available as an upgrade package for existing Outriders players

Outriders Worldslayer will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC from June 30*
