The Royal Opera House has announced that Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Deborah Warner’s new production of Peter Grimes will be joining its streaming service.

Directed by Jan Philipp Gloger, Così fan tutte will be available to stream from 25 March. It sees two pairs of young lovers tested by the impresario Don Alfonso, and was Mozart’s third and final collaboration with the Italian librettist Lorenzo da Ponte.

The cast includes Sabina Puértolas as the fun-loving Despina and acclaimed German baritone Johannes Martin Kränzle as Don Alfonso with Semyon Bychkov conducting.

Deborah Warner’s new production of Britten’s Peter Grimes, premiering in the UK at the Royal Opera House on 17 March, will also be joining the streaming service from 8 April. Promising to be a gripping psychodrama, Warner returns to directing a Britten opera at the Royal Opera House following from her critically lauded production of Billy Budd as part of the Royal Opera House’s Spring 2018/19 season.

Mark Elder conducts a cast that includes British singers Allan Clayton, Bryn Terfel and John Tomlinson, alongside Maria Bengtsson and Jacques Imbrailo.

The Royal Opera House is based in Covent Garden, and is home to The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

Both productions will be available on-demand for 30 days. Cosi fan tutte can be purchased for £10, while Peter Grimes can be purchased for £16.
