More than 20 employees have “exited” Activision Blizzard following the harassment lawsuit filed against the company in July.

Executive vice president for corporate affairs Fran Townsend shared the news in an email to company employees on 19 October.

“I have been quietly listening over the last few months to your comments, concerns, and observations,” the email read. “I am grateful to everyone who shared their points of view – especially those who challenged us to do better.

“It’s important to me that you know how seriously I take this, and how committed I am to the next steps we will take together. We are working tirelessly to ensure that, moving forward, this is a place where people are not only heard, but empowered.”

The letter stated that there has been an increase in reports over the past few months, and more than 20 employees have faced other disciplinary procedures.

It also states that the company have started work on restructuring their Ethics and Compliance and Employee Relations teams to handle complaints more efficiently. 19 additional roles will be added to the Ethics and Compliance team, in addition to the three full-time positions that have already been added to the Investigation Team.

They will also triple their investment in training resources. This will include training managers to recognise concerns and handle situations appropriately, as well as providing a variety of training that will be required for all team members.

Since Activision Blizzard was sued in July, J. Allen Brack has stepped down as the leader of Blizzard Entertainment and has been replaced by Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra.
