The voice of Ghost in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare remake and Warzone, Jeff Leach was axed from working with Activision in the future for sexist comments.
The comments were posted earlier this month by streamer Luke “NitroLukeDX” Pickering on Twitter containing the actor’s sexist remarks. The comments in question concerned streamer Nati “ZombiUnicorn” Casanova for their use of ‘horrendous cleavage’. This resulted in a ban from Twitch back in 2017.
ZombiUnicorn posted on Twitter a video calling out Activision and Facebook Gaming, for continuing to work with Leach and allowing his misogynistic remarks to go unpunished.
In a statement sent to PCGamer, Activision stated that:
“Sexism has no place in our industry, our games or in society. Activision is no longer working with Jeff Leach. We strongly condemn these remarks. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe experience for all players.”
Facebook Gaming have followed suit in a statement to E-Sports News.
“We have ended our contract with Jeff Leach and terminated his partner status with Facebook Gaming. We’ve done the same with NitroLukeDX due to his behaviour on prior streams.”
Leach has since taken to Twitter as well, calling that the clips are taken ‘out of context’. The tweet was later deleted and replaced with a new tweet on May 14th captioned ‘My Official Statement‘ with a Twitlonger link with his full statement on the matter.
