‘Beautiful Beaches’ is the newly-released single from Manchester rock band James. The track, brought to life through a video that features the track’s cover art, follows the band’s latest release — the title track from their upcoming album, All the Colours of You.

Like the band’s previous releases, this track is an arena-ready indie anthem, pairing Tim Booth’s soft vocals with upbeat guitar and drums. Booth’s raspy tones ease the listener away from the mundaneness of everyday life, conjuring up dreamy, faraway destinations through the lyrics: “That life we left behind / We’re racing down to those beautiful beaches.”

Describing the song Booth said: “We love how this song is so uplifting, focusing on new beginnings.

“I like the idea that many might not know the backstory and hear it as a post-COVID holiday song, praying that the lyrics don’t turn out to be prophetic.”

While the track is inspired by the devastating fires in California, it speaks to the general desire to find the good things amongst the bad.

Following the release of the title track of their upcoming album, ‘Beautiful Beaches’ amps up the excitement surrounding the release of James’ sixteenth album, set for release on 4 June.
