The upcoming Hitman game has been delayed until 2016.
The title had been initially planned for a December release but now developers IO Interactive have confirmed the delay to March next year to refine the game.
In a statement, the developers said “Moving a launch date is never an easy decision, we know it’s frustrating to have to wait a bit longer for the game, but we truly believe it will mean we can deliver a better launch and over all experience. These extra few months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than we had originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone.”
They also said that more details on the exact launch schedule, as well as more information on the scope of the game, would be announced next week.
Hitman will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2016. Watch the launch trailer below.
