Pretty Vicious

PRETTY-VICIOUS-PRESS-SHOT

After a huge 2015 where the Welsh band headlined the BBC Introducing tent at Glastonbury, played the Big Top stage at Isle of Wight Festival and had sell out gigs across the country as well having numerous major labels pining for their signatures they could have easily been squashed under all the hype. But Pretty Vicious have looked like seasoned veterans since they broke onto the scene. Along with a new EP brought out earlier this year their live shows are hectic affairs with limbs flying about the place and you can’t blame the crowd for the rowdiness; the bands riffs, reminiscent of fellow countrymen and major influences Manic Street Preachers, are infectious and you’d have to be made of stone to not want to throw yourself in a mosh pit.

Their breakout hit ‘Cave Song’ is a brilliantly written commentary on what its like to be teenager in a small town. With huge riffs and the vocals to match these aren’t a band to miss if you fancy going crazy.
