If you Google ‘Esta’ right now, the first thing that will come up is the homepage for ‘ESTA – Welcome to the Electronic System for Travel Authorization’. “e s t a.” on Soundcloud is a different matter entirely – a producer based in Los Angeles according to his bio. He has 128,417 followers and remixes everything from Sam Smith to Bryson Tiller, as well as producing his own beats.
Granted, Esta can get it wrong sometimes and can produce over-manufactured tracks. But, when he gets it right, he gets it absolutely spot on. Esta’s sound ranges from R&B jams, trap songs, and old school soul – it’s incredibly difficult to pin this producer to a single genre. But, unless you’re a Soundcloud fanatic it’s extremely likely that you won’t have heard of him, because he gets next to no mainstream coverage.
