Owen Jones
A gem not featuring on the clashfinder is everyone’s favourite leftist firebrand, Owen Jones, who is speaking at an event organised by the New Statesman. It’s called the Politics Of Hope, and he’s joined by Georgia Gould, Suzanne Moore and the NS’ web editor Caroline Crampton to talk about the future of Labour.
And since the event is on the Thursday night, where not much else happens apart from some obscure Sky-sponsored events, you could even be drawn from your tents into a veritable political paradise. One thing’s for sure, with the famously lefty audience of the festival, he’s sure to go down well.
In fact, Jones does have something of a link to the area now, having visited Bury St Edmunds for the Festival of Ideas. We can only hope he as mesmerising this time, when we see him at 2020-2120, in the literary arena on Thursday night.
