Foals
Headlining the main stage on the last night, Oxford natives Foals round off this impressive list of what’s to come in Spain later this month. With their latest album What Went Down winning Q Magazine’s award for best album, and with the band themselves having been relentlessly nominated for awards over the years, including for a ‘Best Live Band’ Brit, Yannis, Jack, Jimmy, Walter and Edwin are bound to put on one hell of a show. What makes the addition of Foals to this year’s lineup so exciting however, is something that has no doubt been a factor in the monumental success they’ve enjoyed in recent years; Yannis and the rest of the band are known for their varied and often contrasting styles in their music, and, when listening to their discography, it’s almost impossible not to discover an iteration of the band’s style that’s not to one’s liking. From the Math Rock eccentricity of Antidotes, to the more pop-orientated Holy Fire to the all-out aggression of their latest offering, Foals have proved they have a sound for every occasion, and almost every taste, and that’s almost certainly going to be the case in Bilbao in July.
