Wolf Alice

Wolf Alice (by Emily Cheng)

It proved impossible to leave the North London quartet off this list considering the magnitude of their breakthrough in the last few years, and the verve and swagger with which they’ve strutted onto the scene. Having just embarked on a tour of the U.S alongside the likes of The 1975 and Slaves, as well as recently releasing a deluxe copy of their debut album featuring nigh-on everything they’ve ever recorded, it’s very possible that fans in Bilbao will be treated to some tunes that are rarely heard live. Whether they take the shape of the folk-y, poignant simplicity of Leaving You, or the cool, controlled aggression of Baby Ain’t Made of China remains to be seen, such is the varied nature of their sound. One thing that can be counted on whenever Wolf Alice are in town however, is that wherever the show, and whatever the set, there’s bound to be good times had by all. With a host of prolific shows and headline slots to their name, including Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds, when the North London gang reach Spain in July, there’s bound to be a lot of noise, there could well be some glitter, and it’s damn sure going to be fun.
