6). Roz becomes a cougar
Perhaps it’s too predictable, but it would be hard to believe Roz has ever settled down. Frasier’s producer, played by Peri Gilpin, was the sassy and sexually active yin to Frasier’s haughty, conservative yang.
Even having a daughter, Alice, didn’t really abate Roz’s ravenous pursuit of men, so her becoming a cougar does not feel out of the question.
Perhaps she would even ensnare a few of Alice’s chums along the way?
7). Freddie becomes the ‘new Marty’
This is a prediction that has actually been posited by Kelsey Grammar himself, so it’s definitely not a leftfield suggestion.
With Marty Crane no longer around, Frasier’s son Freddie could fill the gap. Imagine the horror upon Frasier’s face when he discovers his grown-up son now prefers baseball, beer, and Charles Bronson movies rather than a night at the opera.
Frasier and Marty’s contrasting tastes resulted in great comedy but also great pathos. Maybe a similar relationship between Frasier and Freddie can yield the same results.
8). Lilith is a lesbian
If they’re having a Frasier reboot, they surely must also write a cameo for Frasier’s ex-wife Lilith (Bebe Neuwrith). Demure, dry, and delightfully terse, the pale psychiatrist provoked fear and anguish for all of the Crane family.
After years of unsuccessful relationships with men, maybe Lilith has found love with a female psychiatrist, one who is the carbon copy of…Lilith.
9). Gil and Deb renew their vows
Gil Chesterton (Edward Hibbert) was KACL’s effete food critic, churning out catty insults in a posh British brogue.
One of the recurring jokes involved Gil proclaiming he was married to a woman called Deb, despite her never being seen and being rumoured to actually be a cat.
It would be obvious to now see Gil living a guilt-free life as a comfortable gay man, but what if in actual fact, he was married the entire time?
A Gil-Deb vow renewal could also be a great chance to get some of the KACL gang – Noel, Kenny, Chopper Dave – back in the same room.
10). Daphne does Brexit
It’s been a good long while since Daphne – Frasier’s housekeeper turned Niles’ wife – lived in good old Manchester, but no doubt she’d have strong feelings either way about Great Britain recently leaving the European Union.
Perhaps she implores Niles to provide some insight and knowledge on what leaving the EU would mean.
Speaking of Daphne, let’s move on to things we don’t want to see – Daphne’s mom or family. Ever again.
