5. Swooner // The Zolas
This song is fast paced, sexy, and very worthy of an in-car dance party. The Zolas definitely have the ‘wow factor’ in their music, and Swooner definitely is no exception. Swooner is very relatable(i mean we all know an incredibly cool girl that they’re singing about in this song, and if you don’t know a cool girl, you’re probably one) and it carries a retro vibe. The beats, the background vocals going “uh uh”, and the electric twist on the otherwise ‘poppy’ instrumentals, collide for a modern twist of an old spice girls song (but this time with a very masculine voice). Everyone needs a song that mixes new and old school together, making for the ultimate road trip jam.
