Lady Sanity
Originally from Birmingham, Lady Sanity’s imprint is being felt around the globe.
She has performed her ‘90s-indebted rap at the Commonwealth Games in Australia and enchanted the audience of London’s Wireless Festival (though not in the same day). She has also appeared at the Glastonbury festival as an emerging talent.
BBC Radio has been very supportive ever since her debut mixtape song Construction in 2014. She has since been a regular on BBC 6Music.
With a clutch of awards under her belt, Lady Sanity is expected to continue honing her already mightily impressive blend of grime, rap and soul.
Sanity draws on a broad spectrum of musical influences including rap, R&B, grime and rock. For inspiration, she looks to superstars like Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar.
