The Novus
2020 may have curtailed many bands, but The Novus continued unabated. From the very beginning, the band have operated outside of the box. Every gig is a unique experience, often taking place in a secret location with handpicked support acts.
The Novus have proved that the traditional models that apply to gigging and releasing are archaic. The band have nurtured and cultivated a do-it-yourself ethos which has yielded legions of loyal fans.
Even while the world crumbled due to COVID-19, The Novus were not resting – instead, they were one of the first bands to organise socially distanced gigs, most of the time off their own back without management or promoter support.
Musically, The Novus cover the big issues of the day over bulldozing guitar riffs, most notably the anvil-heavy Frosty and PMF. Where they go next is anyone’s guess, but the trajectory will always be up.
