Richard Morgan, Indie Midlands
Richard Morgan is one of underground music’s most mercurial and compassionate of talents. He cares. He listens. He triumphs. Morgan’s passionate campaigning for an equal playing field for both genders has seen him host all-female gigs and champion hitherto undermined artists.
As the brain behind Indie Midlands, his management has helped performers like The Sunset Beach Hut, The Five O Fives and Graywave prosper.
Indie Midlands has become more than just the beer-stained bile of a blogging Baggies fan. It’s now a leading light for music representation. Acts that have previously been diminished or ignored are given a leading light, while a number of Morgan’s gigs have raised considerable amounts for women’s shelters.
Over lockdown, Morgan hosted a slew of Instagram gigs with performers across the globe, most notably Australia. All the while, Morgan’s selfless, emphatic approach ensures every act on his roster is respected.
