‘Vapour Trail’ is to Ride what ‘Alison’ was to Slowdive – the defining moment of one of the most beloved shoegaze bands of all time. The ten-second intro is powerful enough to tug on anyone’s heartstrings, and particularly those who have just suffered a break up. The melodies cut with glittering sorrow, and to get full potential from this song I would highly recommend listening to it late at night when you’re unable to sleep.
