Jamie Lenman
If you don’t know much about the history of 2000trees then you may well overlook the significance of Jamie Lenman and his affiliation with the festival. The singer fronted seminal alt-rock heroes Reuben through much of the 00’s and the band were due to play at the festival back in 2008 before suddenly splitting. The untimely end of Reuben ahead of 2000trees has meant the festival has become something of a “spiritual home” for the band in which now their music is regularly celebrated at Upcote Farm.
So this year comes the Jamie Lenman with a rare solo performance. Likely to bust out tracks from his one and only solo album ‘Muscle Memory’, the smartly dressed singer will serve up a mix of smooth, swinging jazz and razor sharp hardcore rock. Also keep your fingers crossed for a track or two from the Reuben archives.
Catch Jamie Lenman on Saturday in The Axiom because, if you don’t, you may never get the chance to see him again.
