The Xcerts
Pop is not a dirty word. The core idea of ‘pop’ at least- the huge choruses and something that infectiously works its way into your bones- is something to aspire to be. The Xcerts achieve that and then some with their guitar-driven pop-rock sound. The trio are severely underrated but for all those who get a glimpse of frontman Murray Macleod’s flowing blonde locks and hear his sweet Scottish lilt, it’s hard not to fall in love a little.
With their set at 2000trees likely to be doused with hits from their latest album ‘There Is Only You’, expect the melodic moments and roof-raising rock to come in equal measure. Tracks like ‘Kids On Drugs’, ‘Shaking In The Water’ and ‘Pop Song’ show off the best of The Xcerts whilst their back catalogue will throw up something with a bit of a rougher edge.
Enjoy The Xcerts in The Cave on Thursday if you’re an Early Bird.
